Last night started the third season of Youth Art Team. I couldn't be there for much of the evening, but by the time I did arrive, I loved the language of the Gospel that students were responding to in their sketchbooks:
From Psalm 19..."God's glory is on the tour in the skies...God's Word vaults across the skies from sunrise to sunset, melting ice, scorching deserts, warming hearts to faith...."
I also loved hearing that those we consider heroes of the Bible were really just men and women who made mistakes, who were sometimes mean, who often times lacked courage. And that the real hero of the story is God, the Rescuer, who came in love...in Christ...to rescue us from our mistakes.
Looking forward to seeing how God uses the gifts of Youth Art Team this season to bless the community.
